Scout Troops

Learn and earn badges at Busy Bees®! You may schedule your Scout outing during normal business hours or with a two day notice (based on availability) we will stay open late especially for your group.

We have programs for canvas painting, pottery painting, mosaics, candle making, and glass fusing which are available for all scout levels (price includes all supplies, instruction, and appropriate Busy Bees® badge).

Clay Hand Building

Learn all about the history of clay and how to create your own pinch pot during this troop outing. Each attendee will get their own amount of clay to work with to form their very own keepsake. Bowls will be painted at the event and fired after. Approximate turn time is 2- 3 weeks.

Pottery Painting

It’s a paint party! Invite the troop to paint together for a fun day of bonding. Attendees can choose their own pieces to paint or let us know if you’d like the troop to all paint the same style of pottery.Projects will be available after 1 week.

Price: $21 per figurine/small plaque or plate

Candle Making

New to Busy Bees: Candle Making! This is a super fun activity for the kids. Each participant will design their own candle using a rainbow colors and pick their favorite scent to add. Candles are available to take home the same day.

Price per small candle: $16

Canvas Painting

The troops always have a creative good time when they are painting canvas. Acrylic paints are used to paint canvas. Canvas painting design can be freehand or a Busy Bees instructor will lead the troop in their own art class. Let the staff know ahead of time if you’d like to pick one canvas design for the group to paint. Pieces are available to take home the same day.

Price per canvas: $19 in studio ($21.99 for a virtual session)

Mosaics

Create mosaics using acrylic paints and then decorate with various colored, textured, and shaped tiles. A Busy Bees instructor will lead the troop in their own art class. Pieces are available to take home the same day.

Price per mosaic: $15

Glass Fusing

Create a necklace, build a nightlight…have FUN learning the fascinating or glass fusing. Attendees will learn the art of glass fusing and all the tools used to create these stand out art pieces. Projects will be available after 1 week.

Price per necklace: $18/attendee
