What is Wheel Throwing?

Busy Bees’ Pottery & Arts Studio is a wonderful space to connect with your inner artist with the art of ceramics. Create your work of art from start to finish at Busy Bees with guided instruction.

Our studio has 2 pottery wheels, stoneware glazes, pottery tools and more. Come get messy with us! This is a great date night activity too!

All pricing and sessions include 2 kiln firings and glazing of your thrown piece. Let’s see what you can create!

How Does it Work?

GROUP CLASSES:
Calling in all potters and want-to-be potters to the wheel! Ever wonder what it would be like to try out the pottery wheel and throw your very own piece or need a place to throw and get a little muddy? Busy Bees is your place to “bee”!

Classes are 1.5 hour in length and allow you and a friend hop on the wheel and get your hands dirty. Our instructors will teach you the basics of Wheel Throwing. At the end of your session you will have a piece ready for kiln firing and glazing. Additional pieces can be made during this 90-minute session for an additional fee.

PRIVATE TRY IT SESSIONS:

3 WEEK SESSIONS:

Spend 3 consecutive Tuesday evenings at Busy Bees learning everything from throwing to attachments and everything in between! Perfect your throwing motion and create multiple pieces of pottery.

Each week you will spend time on the wheel with a Busy Bees instructor one-on-one. Throughout the weeks you will progress to more in-depth creations as you learn more about the art of wheel throwing.

At the end of your 3 weeks, you will end up with between 3 – 6 pieces which Busy Bees will kiln fire you. Once fired, come to the studio anytime during our open studio time to paint your pieces and have them fired.
